winters in gaborone....

its winter now in this part of the world and it is very cold now in gaborone.

the temperature at night goes down drastically and there is quiet a bit of difference between the upper and the lower temperatures.

the lowest faced by us so far is 1*c.

the sun although is very scorching in the day, even during the winter months.

modern technologies are instilled in homes, offices and cars to face the winter chill but those of us who are adapted to the DELHI climates can get along with the winter very nicely even without the aid of modern equipments..

gaborone,botswana

years have passed by and i have been too busy to write on my blog for a very long time, but now i have decided once again to write on this blog...

fate and destiny have brought me to a place called gaborone, botswana, which is in southern africa.i have came here with a job offer as an optometrist.lets see what this place has in store for us.

the first thing that you will notice about the place is its beautiful clear sky,its a real beauty...like the sea the sky here changes colour at different times during the day...

the other thing that one can notice is the absence of pollution...the air is clean owing to the extensive envelope of greenery surrounding this place.

the people over here prefers non veg to veg and thus the price of non veg is low and affordable.vegetables are available too but are a bit costly.there is also availabilty of indian vegetables, spices and consumables but they are a bit pricey.
this place, being a city do have good and secured houses, good roads and security.it did have a railway track but the railway service have been discontinued for quite sometimes now due to the non-profitability.buses are available and are well connected with south africa.transportation through flights are available too with good connectivity with the neighbouring countries.
overall its a good place to be in so far...will post more of it once i do discover it extensively...
